Continuing a longstanding tradition of superior orthodontic care in the Sparta, New Jersey, area, Dr. Anna Patras brings in-depth training, remarkable skills and the latest technological advancements to her orthodontic practice.Dr. Patras is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, the highest honor awarded in the field of orthodontics by the college of diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists®, the World Federation of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, the Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists and the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Patras earned her doctorate in dental medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, graduating with honors and received her certification in orthodontics from the orthodontic residency program at Columbia University. Her training at this Ivy League institution enabled her to develop and refine her talents as a dental care professional.
Dr. Patras came to the United States from Poland in 1984. She worked as a registered nurse in the labor and delivery unit of a hospital prior to attending dental school. She has been the owner of her practice since 2006 and was the first orthodontist in the state of New Jersey to introduce SureSmile®, the latest revolution in orthodontics utilizing 3D diagnostic technology.
